Yithka is a member of the Great Race of Yith, a race of creature in the Cthulhu Mythos. A member of the Great Race of Yith is able to travel through time by swapping its mind with the mind of a creature in another time. Yithka's appearance is referencing the bodies inhabited by members of the Great Race of Yith in "The Shadow Out of Time", a story by H. P. Lovecraft and first published in 1936. In the story it is stated that, "Later, as the earth's span closed, the transferred minds would again migrate through time and space—to another stopping-place in the bodies of the bulbous vegetable entities of Mercury."
This character is Isurugi (イス動). He first appears in episode 10 of the first season of "Haiyore! Nyaruko-san". Like Yithka, Isurugi is a member of the Great Race of Yith.
"Next Nyaruko's HINT!" (24:11)
This is referencing "Meitantei Konan" (名探偵コナン), "Detective Conan".S1 The series is localized in English as "Case Closed". Nyaruko's line is referencing "Next Conan's HINT", a line said in the next episode preview of "Detective Conan".
"If you don't watch, I'll fire a laser cannon through your heart!" (24:21)
The Japanese line is "Mite kurenai to, anata no haato ni reeza kyanon!" (見てくれないと、あなたのハートにレーザーキャノン！). This is referencing a line said by Ann (アン) during the pre-broadcast notice for "Busou Shinki" (武装神姫), "Armed God Princess", an anime series that aired in 2012.S2 Her line goes, "Mite kurenai to, anata no haato ni reeza kyanon uchikonjaimasu yo" (見てくれないと、あなたのハートにレーザーキャノン撃ち込んじゃいますよ), which translates to "If you don't watch, I'll fire a laser cannon through your heart!".
