There are two references here:

* Here is an isolated image of the text on the screen:
The Japanese text that appears in this shot goes as follows, "Meijou shigatai seisaku iinkai no you na mono" (名状しがたい製作委員会のようなものW), or "Unspeakable production committee-like thing W". The word "unspeakable" (名状しがたい meijou shigatai) is an adjective that often appears in the Cthulhu Mythos.

  2. 4:07 OP中、歌詞「貴方は逃げられな~い」の所

     じょしらくのOP(1:19あたり)

  5. Asuta and Cthuko's background are probably something, for Cthuko it looks like an Oblivion tower.

  6. I'm not really sure about this :
04:07 : http://i.imgur.com/ZUlBysj.jpg made me think about the OP of Joshiraku : http://i.imgur.com/mGiRbug.jpg
I was thinking it may be ref. to something I know, but I'm maybe just over-thinking

  9. At 3:31, the image you're using as the intro to this article, Nyaruko seems to be doing the end of Kamen Rider Fourze's transformation pose, which she already did in season 1 : http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-a9UKbL5i2a8/T6svl-qFx2I/AAAAAAAABms/gJhMKQzIJ3o/s1600/fourze_pose2.jpg

  10. That school outfit cosplay between Makise Kurisu and Nadia keeps reminding me of the school outfit of Aya Iseshima from Zettai Shougeki: Platonic Heart or Kaminagi Ryoko from Zegapain, but neither of them have that blue ribbon, so not sure ; /

  11. The OP lyrics "カゴメカゴメ宇宙式" & "後ろの真後ろ" is referencing to the Japanese song "Kagome Kagome", as the lyrics is similar to "かごめかごめ" & "後ろの正面だあれ"

  12. In the OP, http://puu.sh/2EPd2.jpg this scene bears a striking resemblance to this picture http://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/358732
Wasn't sure if it's coincidence or not but the two seem really similar

    1. That's an interesting observation, but I think that's a coincidence. The coloring is very similar, however the overall contents in the paintings on the walls are fairly different.

  14. Hey for the OP of Nyaruko W, around 0:23, it references Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou

    1. The Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou image is visually similar, but I don't think this is a reference. The poses are all different, and Hasta is sitting while Yoshitake is standing.

I swear I've seen it somewhere before, just can't put my finger on it.

  16. I believe that in the opening the lyric "San-chi pinchi!" is a reference to the Call of Cthulhu board game and (don't trust me on this) might mean "Sanity level critical!"
